July 2019 Vigil

Vigil: 7:30-8:30 am
Courtwatch (10 people): 9-10:30 am

There is much distress and tragedy that is surrounding the border at this time. Communities throughout the nation are burdened with the fear of ICE raids breaking up families and it leaves one speechless. Words are not enough or sufficient. What can we say? What can we do? Our time together will be with more silence than words, more somber than joyful, more reflective than didactic. We will also explore factors revolving around the militarization of the border and who profits from contracts for security. Please join us as we gather together as a compassionate community standing in solidarity with immigrants and those who love and support them.

This month’s vigil will be sponsored by the Weekly Tuesday I.C.E. Vigilers.
