“Accompaniment: Advent Points to Seeking Refuge and Engaged Waiting”
Our vigil this month is hosted by the St Joan of Arc Community’s ministry of “Welcome the Stranger”. The focus will be on the call to Accompaniment. Advent is a time of active waiting while also pondering what it is like to be seeking refuge. Meister Eckart, a mystic of the 14th century, wrote “What good is it for Mary to give birth to the Son of God if we, too, don’t give birth to the Son of God in our time and culture”.
