1. Help plan ICOM’s next fundraiser. In order to support or AID and advocacy programs, we are looking for folks to help us plan a fun and inspiring fundraising event in the spring. Please contact Tom at jthaigh45@gmail.com if you are willing to be join a planning team.
2. Join the ICOM Board! At the end of 2024, we will have two vacancies to fill. If you or someone you know would like to help set the direction for ICOM’s AID, advocacy and vigil programs, please fill out a nomination form. As we try to stabilize our budget, we would especially love board members with experience at larger nonprofits … but compassion and commitment are the most important qualifications. 3.ICOM AID needs winter coats! Coats are needed for the coldest parts of the winter (i.e. suitable for January), especially for babies and toddlers! Contact Patti to arrange dropoff at paklucas@gmail.com.
4. Join the SARI Vigil at the Sherburne County Government Center on Wednesday at 3:30 pm. Thanks to their pressure, there are currently no ICE detainees in Sherburne at this time. No reason they shouldn’t end the contract with ICE! If you’d like to get involved in the campaign to end immigrant detention in Sherburne County, contact Nancy at nancylhassett@gmail.com
